The Gospel

The Good News of Jesus Christ

The Gospel begins with God.

God created us to know Him, love Him, and live in relationship with Him. But humanity rebelled against God, and every one of us has sinned.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

Sin separates us from a holy God, and we cannot fix that separation through good works, religion, morality, or simply trying harder.

But God did for us what we could never do for ourselves.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world, lived the sinless life we could not live, and willingly died on the cross for our sins. He took the judgment we deserved upon Himself.

Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, defeating sin and death.

That is the Gospel.
